Kirkwood Community College and IowaWORKS will open a joint location this Friday, Aug. 1, located at 1025 Kirkwood Parkway SW in Cedar Rapids, on the college’s main campus. The new partnership, previously announced in April, will strengthen collaboration across teams that collectively serve employers, deliver professional education, and support both current workers and future job seekers.

Review of 'Bridge to Terabithia' by Katherine Paterson:I said I would never read it, but here we are! I always heard that 'Bridge to Terabithia' was, and I quote, "heart-rending", "so sad", "a tear-jerker", "tragic", etc., and I'm so sentimental I decided that I couldn't' get through it!
